We are dedicated to fostering healthy, educated, globally aware, and environmentally resilient communities. Having witnessed the incredible resilience and power within local communities firsthand, our mission is to advocate for and amplify their voices, empowering them to lead and sustain their own recovery and development. Through our efforts, we strive to create a world where local capacity is recognized, supported, and celebrated as the cornerstone of effective humanitarian action.
Mutual Aid
The Mutual Aid Coalition is a collective of organizations, from philanthropies to implementing partners, committed to direct, flexible funding for local groups responding to humanitarian crisis. Rather than asking local groups to change for international systems, the Coalition is adapting its approach to meet mutual aid actors where they are. We are receiving funds and donations on behalf of the Emergency Response Rooms (ERRs) in Sudan.
Education in Emergencies
We prioritize the provision of education to children during times of crisis. Frequently, humanitarian organizations do not consider education an immediate need, instead prioritizing other critical necessities such as shelter, medicine, and food.
In Gaza, we support educators in delivering literacy classes to children aged 5-9 residing in camps.
Art as a tool for change
We believe in the power of Arts to transform societies both during times of instability and peace. Integrating art into our aid efforts, we can address not only the physical needs of affected populations but also support their emotional and psychological well-being, fostering resilience and hope amidst adversity.
We are launching a Makers Place in Amman, Jordan as a safe place for residents and refugees to meet and create.
